Fundraising for Help for Heroes
We will be hoping to ride an average of 230km’s a day during the challenge to raise £5000 for Help for Heroes – a vital charity that raises money to support members of the Armed Services who have been wounded in the service of their Country.
Starting from Lands End, we will brave wind, rain, sun, traffic and aching limbs to reach John O’Groats within seven days. In addition to the 1,600km travelled, the route will take us over many leg-burning hills - the total ascent being nearly one and a half times the height of Mount Everest! We have all been working hard to get fit for the challenge and regularly take part in triathlons, half-marathons, Ironmen and long training cycles around Kent. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes and said: “When we are feeling exhausted and our legs are burning, we will think about those who have suffered so much while serving their country and it will give us the determination to push on through. We really do want to Help Our Heroes.” For more information on this amazing challenge and to sponsor the Team, please visit our website: http://kingshilltriteam.weebly.com Many thanks! KHTT team
