So like...I just got accepted to join an expedition to Borneo. Like OMG! No way! But....I need your help!!!

In July I'll be going to the Bornean Rainforest for 10 weeks with Raleigh International. We'll be doing community work like building a school for the kids and help with clean water supply. We'll also be doing environmental work like conservation and wildlife surveys. And finally we'll be pushed to the limit in our adventure phase where we'll be trekking through some off the most dangerous path. And we'll get to learn how to scuba dive so we can survey marine ecology.

For me this venture means the world to be because this is EXATLY what I want to do as a career. After (hopefully) getting a degree in Environmental Science I want to pursue a career in global warming/climate change and conservation/sustainable development. So this will proved me with hands on opportunity in the field. I’ll learn about the rainforest and the threat it face from expert science, learn about the community and the challenges they face. I also want to pick up Malay language as I know I’ll be working in Borneo in the future. This opportunity will also allow me to make more global connexions as there will be volunteers from across the globe!

The money you donate will entirely go towards running this project.  Majority will go towards resource used during the project. Its great cause Raleigh International IS a non-profit organisation.

So please help me get there, it means a lot to me. Plus you’ll be helping me secure my future when it comes to employment and I’ll have tonnes of field experience.
