Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I did it!!!!!! On Sunday 12th July I did a Sprint Triathlon in memory of Pauline Bird, my father-in-laws partner who passed away on 17th May. All money raised will go to Nightingale House Hospice, where Pauline was cared for in her final days.

It was my second triathlon - I did one the year after Nicholas was born, so guessed I ought to do the same with Tristan. Only difference is this time Tristan is only 9 months old, which has made training a bit more challenging.

The event was a 750m lake swim, a 20km road cycle and then a 5km run on grass around the lake. It all went well, (with the exception of one loss of chain on the bike section). I completed the entire event in 1:27:01 which is a massive 5 minutes and 13 seconds quicker than last time.

I've added some photos so you can see that I did actually complete it before you part with your money.
