Sam Turner, myself and Amanda Rollings all decided that we need to loose some weight, and a great incentive is to do it for other people! By donating £1 per pound of weight lost, you will be directly helping AMMF, raising important funds for the research into cancer. Starting on Tuesday 06/04/10 and finishing 01/07/10, just 12 weeks of healthy eating (nothing faddy or fatty!!)

The Alan Morement Memorial Fund was set up and registered as a charity with the aim of raising funds for research, particularly into the causes, treatments and cures for cancers of the gastrointestinal tract and especially cholangiocarcinoma.

Being considered a rare cancer which affected relatively few people, very little research has been undertaken into cholangiocarcinoma. However over the last few years, an enormous and extremely worrying increase in the incidence of this cancer has been flagged and research into its causes (one of which is thought to be environmental toxins) is now beginning in earnest. This research is something AMMF aims to support.
