Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
An update, a while back i set up this page asking for support for the event of hairraising for Haiti. I have now undertaken my end of the bargain and gone through with it. I am still hoping you will support me, and help me reach the target. Whilst im delighted to have already accumulated the sum on the apge, i still hope before the page expires in January, you will have made an addition to the fund ,and made the target complete. The front picture is now as i am without my hair, if you are curious about how it was, i have still left the original picture on here. Like a before and after. Help make a difference to Haiti now, by adding whatever you can afford. Dont forget to gift aid the pledge, if you are a tax payer, that helps make a huge difference!

In Haiti, like many places in the world, we have people lose their lives, because of floods and drought. Oxfam is aiming to make a deeper conscious awareness of the correlation between the impact of climate change and people in suffering. Haiti is just one of many nations hit by the results of climate change. A friend inspired me, by her story to shave her head four years ago for a charity. She like me, loved her long hair. My hair traditionally has taken a long time to reach the length it is now, indeed the longest it has been. How i see it, is that my hair will grow back, but when the floods hit and devastate nations, people lose their lives. I want to make a difference! As a shop manager for Oxfam, i feel that they have changed my life for the better, since joining originally as a volunteer. This is a great way to give to others less fortunate than myself. Really hope that you will get behind me and help me raise this money, or even more than this £1500. The event takes place October 29th around midday in the actual shop here in Wigston!! I pledge to share photos with you guys after the shave is completed!!
Many thanks for supporting Oxfam and myself!!
Bless you all. Karen
