After over a year of avoiding any physical challenges - due to a number of ankle and knee issues, lots of physio and keyhole surgery - I've decided that it's time to stop feeling sorry for myself and raise money for an extremely worthy cause. 

On Saturday 28th September I will be joining a group of my Investigo work colleagues to take part in our own version of the Ultra Challenge. We will be following the iconic river taking on a 50km trek along the Thames Path. I will be armed with Nurofen, ice packs, energy gels and the determination to complete this - and hopefully enough stamina to reach Putney Bridge after setting off from Staines Bridge!

I am raising funds for Investigo's charity partner for 2019 - Panathlon. A charity that provides sporting opportunities to over 17,500 disabled young competitors every year,  Panathlon has been benefiting young disadvantaged people since 1995 – with a focus on disabled young people since 1999 – and has invested over £8 million in opportunities for young people to compete in sport during this time.

Their sporting programmes – which include primary, secondary and 16+ multi-sport events, swimming, football and boccia – currently reach all 32 London boroughs and 37 counties across England and they continue to grow,  with plans to be nationwide by 2020.
