Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
A year ago I signed up (I have no idea why) to climb Kilimanjaro. I was not planning to do it for charity.
And then something horrible happened. My brother's dear friend and business partner, Max Lowry, died on the eve of his wedding to Jane.
He was 34 years old.
Max was an astonishing person. He was certainly the happiest and most positive person I have ever met. We all miss him very much.
Joe and Max were hugely successful as 3D artists. You can see their work at www.3Djoeandmax.com
Joe continues the magic and we have decided that I shall turn my (already paid for) trip into even more of a challenge in order to raise money for the charity CRY, which is conducting research into why healthy young people's hearts just stop. At no point will a single penny of the money I raise go towards my trip, it will all go to CRY.
I will be taking a 3D canvas to the summit of Kilimanjaro (they are not a light piece of kit) and taking a picture of it in memory of Max. This, on top of the inevitable altitude sickness and the fact that I will not be able to wash my hair for a week, will make things rather interesting.
If you would like to sponsor me to do this then this is the page for you. I must emphasise that ABSOLUTELY NONE of the money I raise will go towards my trip. It will all go to CRY.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If this strikes a chord with you then please share Max's story with your friends.
Thank you!
Kate
