I started running a few years ago and I really enjoy the exercise and the group I run with. I have completed a few 5k and 10k runs and this year I am going to attempt to run the Cardiff Half Marathon. It is a big step up for me and I am terrified, but I will do my best to get round.

In November 2008, I started volunteering at the Huggard Centre, which provides support for homeless and vulnerable people in Cardiff. I have wanted to do something to help the homeless for a while and I finally got round to calling up and asking if I could help. I only manage to find a few hours a week to help in the kitchen but the majority of people I meet there are very welcoming and appreciative of the little I do. I think the Huggard is a wonderful place, providing all kinds of help and support for people who have not been as fortunate as you or me.
