Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Richard Percival (Percy to his mates) was a fried of ours who sadly died from a stroke last year whilst training for the Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride.  It's one of the toughest cycling challenges in the UK riding over 1000 miles in 12 days.

Percy's Pals (a charity affiliated to Southampton Hospital) was set up by Percy's friends to raise money to purchase a portable CT scanner for the neurological unit in which Percy was treated.  Obtaining timely scans is vital to ensure the best possible outcomes for brain injured patients and having a scanner which can be brought to the patient will greatly reduce time to scan and improve outcomes for future brain injured patients.

As part of the fund raising we are planning to cycle the ride Percy was training for.  Some as individuals and others as teams.  I've committed to giving up my weekends and out training in the wind and rain - mostly to prepare me for the Scottish weather!  Please give generously and keep me motivated.  Every little really does help and is hugely appreciated.
