As you all probably know, I have worked for Magic Bus for 3 years now and am incredibly passionate about what they do and the changes that we are seeing with the children and youth that we work with in India. We are now embarking on a period of growth to try and reach out to even more children and I am running the Great Manchester 10km to try and support this expansion.

Magic Bus uses sport and outdoors as a medium to enable children to discover their true potential and find a purpose in life. We believe in a child’s ability to take charge and change their future.  We works with children aged between 7 to 18, taking them through an age-based, needs-based graduation programme that is specifically designed to focus on their personal and social development. The Magic Bus curriculum offers children the chance to build self-confidence, learn about health and hygiene and make informed choices. It encourages girls and boys to play together, breaking down gender barriers and influencing community development.

By the end of 2010 the organisation will reach out to 140,000 children living in some of the most at risk and deprived circumstances in the world. The goal is to reach up to 600,000 in the next three years.  Please support me to help us reach this target.
