Story

On the 19 September this year I’m doing the Great North Run! I’ll be raising money for The Newcastle Society for Blind People (see the link to the left for more information about this charity).

I’ve been running regularly, two or three times a week, for about a year now. I have, however, never run anything like as far as 13.1 miles, so it’s an exciting but a daunting prospect! I’m not aiming for a particular time; the goal is just to complete the race without breaking any bones or pulling any muscles!

If you would like to sponsor me, you can do so by clicking on the ‘donate’ button below, or of course by giving the money to me in person.  Any words of encouragement or training advice are also very gratefully received! Thank you! Kate x

*Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.*
