Story
Hello Everyone!
Thanks for having a look at this page to consider sponsoring me or just to make a donation.
Why?
I started this running lark in support of my husband Danny who is running the marathon in November 2010. I decided to take the opportunity to get fitter and healthier. Those who know me will realise running is not a natural act for me and that both Danny and I were a long way from being fit when we started!
When I first started I could run for 12 minutes and then fell over, so when Danny and I finally made it to the 6 mile mark it was quite pleased with myself! I decided I would do the half marathon race with Danny for his training, and that I should try to get some benefit for someone other than myself.
Why MIND?
I use MIND a lot through my job and I know how much they do with very little funding
MIND is a really good charity that does so much to help people who are suffering from a mental illness. Your money will be going straight to the local Beds and Luton MIND to provide courses, groups, support and information for local people.
1 in 4 people will experience a mental illness in their lifetime. Their experience may be short term and never re-occur, they may have several relapses with periods of good health in between, or they may have a debilitating illness they have to live with on a daily basis.
Beds and Luton MIND support people to recover from their illness as much as possible and live the life they want to.
Have a look around you, how many people do you know who have experienced mental illness? Or more likely, who have experienced it, but never told anyone they were suffering.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.

A Quick update! We ran 9.5 miles on Sunday after a weeks rest for me. I'm suffering sore shins from the impact, but fingers crossed they will be ok. The countdown to the big day begins as I try to boost my fitness to carry me further!
