Story

Help me to help others beat bowel cancer.

Thank you for visiting my Shine fundraising page in support of bowel cancer research.

I know times are hard and i'm not usually one to ask for donations but this is my first marathon and it's for such a brilliant cause and i really dont want to disappoint. I'm determined to reach my target and maybe even exceed it. Donating via JustGiving is really easy (even i can do it) plus it's quick and completely secure.

Each day in the UK, around 110 people are told they have bowel cancer. Thanks to improvements in diagnosis and treatment, the number of people surviving for five years or more has more than doubled in the last 40 years. But sadly, bowel cancer still claims around 44 lives each day.

I've lost a loved one to bowel cancer and nobody should have to go through this or see others torn apart by this disease. So please help me to help others battle this for future generations to come.

Even if you can only spare a few pounds, it really can add up and make a difference towards research into new treatments and helping more people survive bowel cancer.

Also remember to Gift Aid it - it just means if your a UK taxpayer, this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you :)

Please sponsor me, pretty please :)

Let’s beat cancer sooner.
