I am running the Santa dash for the Mayhew Animal Home in North West London who rescue abandoned animals and find them new homes or just look after and love them.

I know not everyone prioritises animals in their life and I know many people think that human charities are a much more worthy. I, on the other hand, think the fair treatment of animals is simply the sign of a civilized society.

Too many things in life are easily disposable. This is what allows people to mis-treat animals leaving places like the Mayhew to pick up the pieces, which they do with unwavering dedication and passion.

It’s dead simple to sit on your arse and do nothing but that’s just not me. I’m out pounding the streets of London so I can do the Mayhew proud on the day. Jo & I have adopted two Mayhew babies who have bought more love and joy to our lives than I can ever express so this is my way of saying thank-you to them.
