Story
On Saturday 30th August I am going to do something that will be a huge challenge due to my fear of heights. I will be going down the largest zip line in Europe - Zip World Titan (http://www.zipworld.co.uk/what-to-expect-at-zip-world-titan/)
Originally booked as part of my dear friend Mandy's hen do, I wasn't even sure if I would actually do it once I got there but today I have decided that I will do it as a fundraising effort for a charity I had never even heard of until 3 weeks ago!
This was when we received the devastating news that my dad, who I love with all my heart, has cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) which is inoperable. Chemotherapy treatment will commence in the next couple of weeks so we are only at the very beginning of what will be an emotional roller coaster for me and my family.
If anyone could make even the smallest of donations it could help this little known charity to carry out vital research and hopefully help other people out there who receive the diagnosis of this rare cancer.
AMMF is the UK's only cholangiocarcinoma charity. Their main aims are to raise the awareness of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), to provide information, and to support specialised research teams in their work to find the causes, methods of earlier diagnosis and treatments for this disease.
