Story
Thanks for looking at this page, which I hope I've already mentioned to you. Any amount you can give in these tricky times is greatly appreciated. Anonymous donations are accepted too, your name will not be displayed.
I am going to run the Santa Dash in Santa costumes (both of us!) on the 6th of December 2009 and give all of the money I raise to the Mayhew Animal Home in the north west of London. Click here for their site. They rescue and rehome abandoned animals, making absolutely sure that no dog, cat, rabbit or other animal loses the right to happy life, regardless of how it ended up with them. They do a brilliant job.
Christmas is always a hard time for animals, purely because people take them on without full knowledge of their needs. This Christmas will be no different. I hope that my (and your) gift - however small or large - makes a difference to even just one pet. Thats a worthwhile difference in my mind.
We have rescued three Staffordshire Bull Terriers (like this one) from homes where their time was running way too short. I don't like to think about what would have happened if they didn't receive the help of rehoming and rescue shelters like the Mayhew.
For a little moral support, I'm bringing along my personal trainer Cooper, her picture is above. I think she'll still be ready for more after 5 kilometres though..... (the other two are spectating)
I hope you can find 5 minutes and a spare pound or two to help us out.
