Story
Now over half way to the target of £500, a big thank you to all of you that have so far supported me. The support is a great help, especially when I need to get on the bike in the pouring rain. Training is going really well and I am now up to about 50miles and thoroughly enjoying the challenge. If anyone fancies joining me for training rides, that would be a great help as well!! I am now working on increasing my average speed. Not content with completing the ride, I have now decided that I would like to do it in sub 7 hours.
PLEASE DO GIVE US YOUR SUPPORT.
On 6th June, I will be cycling 130km (thats about 88 miles!!) for Cyclists Fighting Cancer.
Cyclists Fighting Cancer provide bikes, adapted trikes, tandems and equipment to children and young people whose lives have been affected by cancer to promote exercise based rehabilitation through cycling and related activities.

This is a fantastic charity and can really make a difference to those kids affected by this terrible disease.
This is going to be a big challenge for me. The furthest I have ever ridden in one day is about 60 miles and the most ascent in one day is about 500m (I then couldn't walk for about 3 hours!). I must point out that these 2 stats were not on the same day. The 6th June will see me cover 130km and 2,300ft of ascent in, I hope, no more than 7.5 hours. The ride covers some of the most stunning countryside in Wales, but a good friend told me I won't care about the scenery when faced with some of those hills - we'll see.
Anyway, please please dig deep for this very important charity. If I can help enrich the lives of a few children, then I will finish the ride extremely happy!
Thanks for your support
