UPDATED AFTER THE MARATHON!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page again.
A brief update on yesterday's marathon. Windermere is not a flat course, worrying when a nice lady getting changed before the start said everyone reckoned at least 20 mins slower than a flat course! Chasing 4h and/or a PB that wasn't good news. However, things went well, the training obviously worked as I managed a PB from my 5 marathons, with 4h 11m.
It was at least a cool day, but the undulating course and the hills took their toll. Managed the 1st half in 1h 57m, slowed in the 2nd half but it felt OK throughout. Despite the pain of the final 386 yards up Brathay Hall's drive, I was pleased with the time. Chris also got a PB but found it really tough in the latter stages, read his story on his web page.
