Story

We are raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

At Simpson Group, we try and do as much possible for our chosen charities these include providing printed materials such as leaflets, posters etc to create awareness and drive an uplift in
sponsors through the use of print.

However from time to time, we get together as a team and participate in fun activities such as the Rough Runner. All of this is to raise money and awareness for the association.

Rough Runner is an obstacle course challenge, combining distance running with a variety of obstacles along the way. The obstacles are inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle. Expect a 40m slide, giant pigeon battles, sweeper
arms, big balls and tavelator!

The reason I am taking part:

“I am taking part in the Rough Runner in memory of my dad’s best friend Terry Hutchinson who sadly lost his fight with this awful disease in 2015. Terry was a fit and healthy gentleman, who had lead a normal life until he was diagnosed in early 2015. Within a period of 3 months, Terry was in a wheelchair, unable to walk, after 4 months his speech deteriated. After 6 months, he passed away. This is a
horrific disease which can attack anyone.”
