As many of you know I work for Enterprise Plc as an Operations Director with responsibility for our Water contracts within the Utilities Division. All of our Water Clients (in no particular order: Severn Trent, United Utilities, Veolia, Thames and Northern Ireland) support WaterAid; whose mission it is, to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygeine and sanitation in the worlds poorest communities.

In addition to this, the Utilities Division within Enterprise has chosen WaterAid as its selected charity for 2010.

Therefore, as part of my own committment to this charity, I am running the 10km BUPA Great Manchester North Run on the 16th May to raise money for this worthy cause.

We all take clean and safe water for granted but there are millions of people around the world who are not as fortunate as you and I, so I would kindfully ask that you please dig deep and support me in achieving this challenging, yet achievable target of £2000. (Yes, was £4k, but that target seemed a bit too ambitious)

Thanks for your support! In the meantime, I am going to see if the hitman wants to do a bit of sparring to get me into some sort of shape for the run!
