Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Mum Margaret Shaw died on the 20th May 2020 peacefully at home.  Margaret was battling Lung Cancer and Secondary Brain Cancer and she received excellent care from the Team at Ninewells hospital.  The profile photograph was my mum on her new e-bike which we bought her a few weeks after surgery to remove a brain tumour in October 2019.  We had many a good time and enjoyed a last family Christmas at hers and New Year at Applecross.

When we found out about the secondary cancer we feared that we would lose her in September 2019 however the Doctors at Ninewells gave us hope and treatment options and they didn't give up on her. Mum wanted to acknowledge their life saving /prolonging work and therefore we would be grateful for any donations made to the Stefani Unit at Ninewells to help fund essential cancer trails.

As a family we owe Ninewells a huge debt of gratitude for the extra time that they gave us with Mum.   We would also like to thank Newburgh surgery, the District nursing team and Home Assessment Team for all their help.
