My friend Karen wanted to do something special for her birthday so Kilimanjaro here we come!  We both wanted to do this for charity so have chosen different ones to support.

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter is a young and vibrant local charity after my own heart.  Those who know me know that my heart has been hijacked many times by the animals in my life, most of whom have arrived with specific needs which it has been my pleasure and priviledge to meet. Many others need help though and that is where W.A.R.S. comes in.  They accept and re-home cats, dogs and hens, working from their location beside Malvern. They could not achieve the results they do without their volunteers and of course funding which is where I come in!

I am climbing Klilmanjaro in September 2014 and need to raise a minimum of £2600 for the shelter.  To do the climb without injury and with a view to actualy enjoying the challange, I have been training since September with the help of the staff at Halo, Bromyard.  The training is on-going!  

I intend to keep everyone up to date with my progress, sponsers who come on board and fund raising events though this page which is linked to my Chilli Zoo website - hello if you have just come from there!
