We did it ...... the weather was glorious! And we got a medal ..... photos to follow ... thanks to all those who have donated and sent their good wishes xx
Well, it's getting serious! My experience wavers between cycling to work on the odd occasion to a few recreational rides (mainly to the Ferry Inn at Stone for a couple of glasses of rose and watch the sunset) plus also a little bit more intensive training earlier on this year leading up to the 3 Peaks Yacht Race (just to keep one of the runners company - or so I thought - and here we are about 20kgs lighter!)
The event is a 50km cycle round the Romney Marsh area on the 18th October. Come rain or shine. Hail or thunder. Etc. It will be the furthest I have cycled - it's not a race, you just have to complete the course. Preferably before dark.
I have chosen the NCYPE firstly because of the amazing work they do with young people with epilepsy and also because the Foo Crew (www.justgiving.com/foofighter3peaks for all the gory details) didn't quite reach their target and I am hoping to boost this before we finally call it a day or close the books or whatever it is you do when you have exhausted all other avenues of extracting money from people in the name of charity.
We were £485 short of the total so whatever I can raise here will be great. Only this time I'm on my own!
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
