Story
Hiya,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I will be doing the Great Scottish Run this year to raise money for the Sudden Adult Death Trust, which supports families affected by SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome or Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome).
This charity means a great deal to me, my wife Claire and her (my) family as my sister in law Emma died in June this year, suddenly and without full explanation.
Emma was a fantastic sister in law and made me feel so welcome back when I was a nervous lad meeting the in-laws.
Emma was also really sporty, loved playing for her netball team as well as cycling about London. I am sure she would be really chuffed that I was doing a half marathon for charity not to mention more than slightly amused at the thought of me blowing out my a*se! (Emma would have been able to walk it quicker than I can run it!)
I know there has been an increase in sponsorships and workplace charity requirements, etc. I apologise, therefore, if this is one of many requests you have received this year, however, as I mentioned this really does mean a hell of a lot to me and I really, really appreciate any generosity.
Thank you.
Kim
(Just to say, my big mate Hendry is also joining me on the run as well as helping raise money for SADS. Although he does have an unfair advantage in that, at 6 foot 8, a half marathon is only a few "Big T" strides)
