About 3 weeks ago, a family friend was diagnosed with stomach cancer, sadly Chris, aged only 52 passed away on Thursday 20th August. Nothing could be done for him because his cancer was found too late but the care that he received from the Macmillan nurses was beyond amazing and allowed the ending of his life to be peacful and painfree. The nurses came to see Chris several times a day, just to help him in anyway
that they could, to keep him comfortable, clean and pain free. To support his partner and my parents who where all caring for him too.
1 in 3 people are affected by cancer, maybe there will be a cure one day but in the mean time Macmillan show compassion, support and practical help for the patient and their family.
PLEASE HELP; I would like to raise money to donate to Macmillan so they can
help other families, they are a charity and rely on donations.
My aim is to get 1000 people to each donate £5. I have set up a group
on Facebook, "Give us a fiver" and have 104 members so far, however my account keeps
getting blocked because I am sending too many messages to promote this group!!! With the help
of my family, friends and friends of friends, I estimate that £1000 has
been pledged to date, this is fantastic because I only started my
campaign just over a week ago.
Thankyou

PS; If you would like to donate more than £5, your donation will be more than welcome!!!
