Can we agree that 2020 has been...A LOT. for everyone and then some...
No one should be homeless and alone!!! I am raising funds for the Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes wwwwinternightsheltermk.com who are helping over 130 people living homelessly or vulnerably and every week meet many new people in a Community Club on a Tuesday and Wednesday who have fallen into hard times due to things like COVID-19 repercussions
So I’m going to do my bit to help by hosting a Fitness Challenge! Any donation, however small, will make a huge difference! Here are some examples of what your donation could help to pay for:
- £2 - could give a homeless person light through a torch and batteries
- £3 - could pay for a healthy home-cooked meal and soft drink for a homeless person
- £5 - could buy a homeless person clean pants and socks to wear to stay hygienic.
- £10 - could keep a homeless person from feeling lonely with a wind-up radio
- £20 - could buy a mobile phone with ten pounds credit to be able to contact family, friends and reply to job ads and accommodation opportunities.
- £50 - could literally save someone’s life, by buying them a thermal sleeping bag to keep them warm during cold winter nights.
- £100 - pays for a winter survival pack
- £300 - could pay for Christmas Day Dinner for c. 50 homeless and vulnerable people this year
For 1 hour EMOM (Every minute on the minute) I’ll be doing 20 sit-ups. That’s 1200 sit-ups in the hour. Now that will be a challenge! The event will be hosted on the 28th December at 12 pm at Woughton Leisure Centre in Milton Keynes.
