We give hope to vulnerable people and help to gain skills and change their lives

Story

Blood feud
such a complex word to others yet so simple and haunting to us.

We would like to share with you a story about two brothers that come from a village in Shkodra where the
blood feud is common in many other areas as well, where families live by the kanun law and by that law only. One of these boys was just 2 years old and the other one on his mummy’s belly at the time when his dad killed someone form another family.
Their father was sentenced in prison for life. By what their father did these innocent kids were sentenced with an unfair life, locked inside four walls, scared to face the windows, always checking behind their backs, and never able to make friends. These kids are the first in line to be killed.
6 years ago, they lost their house and were homeless in the middle of the street even the home that kept them alive they did not have it anymore. Liljana the teacher who voluntarily visits and educates the kids acted quickly with a few people from the village to provide them with a roof over their head. All they could provide was a shed where they used to keep cows in and they turned it around and made it a bit of a place you could live in. They live there to this day in that place you can't even call house let alone home.

We are fundraising to help the children in this family and the children of 31 other families. Restricted to go outside to go to school because that would get them killed. These families have lost hope for a tomorrow because death is always waiting at their doorstep.

This is our first initiative aiming to provide internet and laptops to 32 families with 47
kids and for 6 teachers who will voluntarily provide full time education to these kids.

We are a group of young people who have lived experience on living in confinement due to blood feud and have no access to the outside world. We will do anything we are able and
capable to provide for these kids what we did not have. COVID-19 made us
relive again what being locked inside 4 four walls feels like when a killer is at your front door. The whole world experienced a little of how these families feel like. And they still don’t know what it means to be human and live like real human beings.

All of us here today we are united by our love we are reunited by our pain.
