The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Alex and Dave are embarking on a journey of a lifetime! We are cycling from London, Canary Wharf, HSBC HQ through the UK, France and Belgium  all the way to Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

This 316 mile (506km) journey which climbs 6042ft (1844m) will not be an easy one. We plan to cycle with over 60 other HSBC employees and friends, however, we will be the only tandem.

Donations made through JustGiving will be eligible for Gift Aid which adds an extra 5% to how much you give. As well, as HSBC employees we are able to apply for the £4£ scheme which means HSBC will match any money we make up to £500 each. So if we collectively raise £1000, Gift Aid will add another £50 and HSBC £1000 giving us a total of £2050!!!

This endeavour is for a worthy cause as Guide Dogs for the Blind do amazing work. They provide a unique combination of practical and emotional support to transform the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted offering them independence, inclusion and freedom. Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind, which means we need to train more and more guide dogs.
