The Landrower Challenge
On Sunday 29th April we "rowed" 22 mile down the cycle track from Kilmacolm to Lochwinnoch in Renfrewshire Scotland.
We used 5 Landrows - rowing machines with wheels - piloted by 18 people (see below).
The event was in aid of BRPS which helps people deal with the effects of the eye condition, Retinitis Pigmentosa - the Landrows were designed and built by David MacMillan , who is affected by the condition himself.
We all made it back although there were a few bruises suffered as a result of crashes in the course of the event.
The best time was 2 hours 37 minutes set by Alastair MacMillan, Mike Wilson and John Mckinney - congratulations to them.
You can still sponsor "in retrospect" on this site.
The people who participated were:
Rachel Robertson, Keith Robertson, Keith Lough, Hugo Lough, David MacLellan, Bob Bishop, Tom McGuinness, Mike Tibbert, Lawrie Campbell, Hugh Kerr, John McKinney, Richard Bath, Simon Morrissey, Mike Wilson, Alastair MacMillan, David MacMillan, Arthur MacMillan, Malcolm MacMillan - SPONSOR US NOW!
