Story

Well - we did it!! Completed a 10k run.  And Raymond did it in 47 mins - pretty impressive!!  I was just pleased I did not walk any of it at all.  And the atmosphere was great, and most of all - each one of us represented one congolese women who can now go through women for women international's programme in Democratic Republic of Congo to help them provide for their families and build a future! Awesome.  But - we each have to raise £300 to sponsor one women through the year programme.  So - do please sponsor us as much or as little as you can!!

The atrocities carried out in DRC are often very under-reported and until I met an asylum seeker from there I had no idea.  This charity run lots or programmes to help women continue with their lives after suffering terribly and also provide for their families.  Thank you so much for your support!  And thank you to all who came to our Cake for Congo event and donated there too or baked for us!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for giving, when added together it all makes such a difference!!  You can check out my blog, which has some more info if you hunt around!! Getting sponsorship for 30 (or as near as possible to 30) women in Congo is a goal for me before I am 30!! Still a good way to go....Thanks for your help.
