Calling ALL Dog Lovers!!

As many of you will know, I have worked with the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home for over 10 years, 3 of them full time. It's a wonderful organisation that survives solely on public support. Needless to say, it is always short of money. To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the Home has organised a dog sledding expedition in the Arctic Circle.

I am taking part and would really appreciate your support in raising money for the Home.

I am hoping to embark on a 5 day, 200km dog sledding trek in the Arctic Circle in March next year. It wont be easy with an average temperature of -25c and up to 60km trekking per day but I am willing to do it if it will help raise funds for the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

If you have ever owned your own cat or dog, you will understand just how important it is to have access to establishments such as the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Not only do the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home take in around 10600 stray and unwanted dogs and cats each year, the Home also work tirelessy educating the public and promoting the re-homing of rescued animals.

Over the  past 10 years I have fostered around 150 dogs, many of which have come to me as a last resort with behaviour issues. Some guidance, ground rules and a loving home is all they have needed  and ALL have ended up with the perfect outcome; loving new homes!  

The Battersea Dogs and Cats Home are this year celebrating their 150th anniversary and I would like to raise money so they can continue doing such a fantastic job, saving and re-homing thousands of dogs and cats each year. 

I hope you can help me achieve my target as it would mean so much to me but more so, it would mean so much to the thousands of dogs and cats who need your help.
