I've never been keen on asking for sponsorship but my Mum has been in contact with some motor neurone disease volunteers who have organised this event.  I thought it was a way to raise awareness of motor neurone disease and help the charity to make some money.  

My Mum was diagnosed with this horrible disease a few days before Christmas 2014.  Since then she has lost a lot of mobility and now her speech is affected. I don't really want to go on about it here but what I do want to say is that she is coping so well despite everything.  She is always pleased to see me and we do laugh - usually at my misinterpretation of what she is trying to say!

Please do not feel as though you have to give much money, £2 from all of my friends will add up!  Hopefully I'll still have some left after asking for sponsorship!
