Story
thanks for taking the time to visit my justgiving page.
After the swim being cancelIed last year I have registered and am taking part in the Great Salford Swim on 15th May 2011 in memory of my sister Alison.
Alison was diagnosed with bowel cancer on 9th January 2010, she died 20th February, less than two weeks after her 28th birthday.
So I am swimming a mile across Salford Quays to raise money for The Christie where Alison spent her last few weeks. The care the staff at the hospital gave her was exceptional, but they receive no government funding and rely completely on donations.
Please can you give all you can and help me raise as much money as I can for the fantastic hospital and in memory of an amazing person who left us far too soon.
donating through justgiving is simple, fast and totally secure. your details are safe with justgiving - they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure gift aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a uk taxpayer. so it’s the most efficient way to donate - i raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
so please dig deep and donate now. Thank you x
