This is going to be a tough winter. Especially for those whom we are privileged to serve. The cut in Universal Credit, soaring power costs and food price inflation will put pressure on individuals and families. You can help us to help them.

Story

Always Winter, never Christmas.

This is going to be a tough winter at foodbanks. The Universal Credit cut, soaring power and food prices, and the continuing impact of Covid means people are struggling more than every before. The Glasgow SW Foodbank expect to be busier than ever and as always rely on donations to help them help others. JustGiving is a very easy way to support Glasgow SW Foodbank and Gift Aid can be added to your donations if you are a taxpayer. In the week or so before Christmas, they are trying to add a little bit extra to each parcel (as we have done in previous years) and this year they are hoping to add a small gift to each parcel especially if children are involved - which, heartbreakingly, they often are. With your help we can do a little more for those who have a lot less. Thank you on behalf of Arthur House and the Glasgow SW Foodbank.

About the charity

We are part of the Trussell Trust network but are an independent charity. We seek to provide food and basic toiletries to those in need who are referred to us by front line care professionals. We have one employee and lots of volunteers. We rely on donations of food, time and finance.
