Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

On Sunday 18th October I'm taking part in the MedEquip4Kids & FC United Minithon, a gruelling 5k slog around Chorlton fields, the objective is to raise money for MedEquip4Kids and FC United.

MediEquip4Kids is a charity which helps to improve the lives of sick chidren and babies throughout North West England. FC United aren't just a no league football club, we work with the community and have 300 volunteers (fans, staff and players) involved in working with high risk and at risk young people mentoring and assisting in engagement skills, delivering estate-based youth work and teaching in schools. We run workshops, tournaments and coaching sessions, and help local organisations to raise funds and develop teaching materials.

My nine year old Sam is running with me, he reckons he will beat me - I'm quitely confident....that he will.

If you can spare a couple of quid that will be great, you will be helping two great causes. If you can't just wish me well, I'll need it.

Based in Manchester, MedEquip4Kids improves the health of babies and children in the UK by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. Because we value all aspects of children’s wellbeing, we also deliver workshops in schools to support young people’s mental health.
