Story

What started as a crazy idea has now turned into a reality. There is a team of work colleagues and friends who will be climbing Kilimanjaro which at 5,895m, is the world's highest free-standing mountain.

We have all paid for this trip ourselves, all the money we raise will go directly to Midlands Air Ambulance, as they provide first class life saving care. The Air Ambulance serves over 5.5 million people across six counties (covering an area of over 5,000 square miles) and is funded entirely by the public with no Government or lottery funding - so please be as generous as you can...you won't be financing an adventure holiday!

My 17 year old daughter Holly will also be coming along to 'spur on' the old man and get a trip of a life time just before she becomes 18. Happy birthday 'smallest one', hope this sets you on the right path in life ! Come on team 'Carter' we can do this together, you and me Holls !!!

As an additional fund raiser I will also be taking 'Daisy the travelling bunny' with us on our the journey, she will be raising money separately for Pledge a Pound which supports 26 animal rescues throughout the UK. (http://www.pledgeapound.net/)
