We are members of the choir at St Mary's Church, Wimbledon, who have been affected by the tragic death in April this year of a young student at London University, JJ de Sousa Stayton. We did not know JJ but we now know from his family that he was suffering from mental illness which he had kept to himself. At the family's suggestion we are raising money for Student Minds whose mission is to help students like JJ to look after their own mental health, to support others and to bring about change in the landscape of student mental illness.
