Story
We have been overwhelmed by how many people have been deeply effected by the sudden loss of Les. He was simply the most generous person many of us have ever met, whether he was giving his time, advice or dipping his hand in his pocket, his generosity was completely unconditional.
He lived his life to the full, never refusing a challenge or an opportunity to experience something new. A 50 mile walk, a 26 mile run or lunch in NY, his passion for life meant he finished his with no regrets. Fittingly, he finished his life playing football; his last touch was scoring a goal!.
He was totally committed to his family and friends, realising his 60th birthday dream by taking all the family on holiday. When the grandchildren speak of their memories, 'grandad taking us to Butlins' is always in their thoughts. He has so many good memories from his extended birthday celebrations this year.
Les was blessed with good health throughout his life, the only illness to really effect him during his life was Jean's fight with breast cancer. He was a supporter of this charity during his life and it is for that reason we have chosen this charity for any donation you wish to make in memory of Les.
