Hey everyone,
Thanks for visiting my justgiving page!
On the weekend of 11th & 12th Dec I have been 'roped' (no pun intended) into Abseiling down the front of the Malmaison hotel....ok so it's not like it's the greatest of heights - however, in my younger years (school years) at an orienteering weekend at Otterburn Hall I couldn't bring myself to go over the edge of a 15ft fence! So this is huge!!
Anyway, enough about me....obviously I am not doing this for the fun of it, nor is it a regular weekend highlight for me, I am raising sponsorship for the 'NSPCC', a truly worthy charity.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children have been campaigning to prevent and protect our nations children from cruelty for over 100 years and their vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfill their potential. In the run up to Christmas where most of us will be spending time in an environment that feels safe, is built on a foundation of respect, values & unconditional love, please spare a thought for those children who during that very same period will need the support, kindness, warmth & security that the NSPCC provides.
I'd love you all to sponsor me and show your support, all donations/sponsors of any value will be gratefully welcome & appreciated.
It is late in the day, but that said I am still setting myself a challenge to raise £500 by 10th Dec 2010, please help :) Every £100 raised could pay for a months worth of treatment for a child traumatised by abuse.
I appreciate my message is not the most delightful, enlightening communication and may take you to a place that really, you'd rather not have gone to. Truth is, it's our reality - so lets help change that and bring light in to even one child's life.
Get sponsoring......pleeeeeaaaaaase.
p.s. Of course, your all welcome to come and witness me behave in the most cowardly manner.....on Newcastle's Quayside, in fancy dress on a chilly winters day. Exact times.....I'll publish when the sponsorship fund hits £250 ;-)
