I am excited (and terrified) to be running the TCS Amsterdam Marathon for Worldwide Cancer Research this October!
26 miles (42 kilometres) seems like an impossible distance at this point, but the opportunity to improve the lives of those suffering with cancer is a fantastic incentive to train hard.

1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. 

This statistic is frightening, but it highlights why Worldwide Cancer Research is so worthy of our support. They view cancer from a scientific perspective, carefully selecting the most promising medical innovations from the most brilliant scientific minds. This means that any money raised is spent responsibly: it goes directly into funding those new treatments which are most likely to make a positive difference.

Anyone who knows me will be aware that physical fitness has never been one of my strengths, so every pound donated will be amazing motivation for me to complete this huge challenge. Most importantly, every donation will fund vital research to help cancer sufferers live longer, happier lives.
