Story

On 18 – 20 September 2015, a team from Lewis Silkin will be putting their endurance to the test again to raise money for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, our firm’s charity. This year’s team will be taking on the 24 Peaks Challenge – a tough 50 kilometre walk that will see the participants summit an incredible 24 peaks in the Lake District and involves an ascent of over 4,000 metres in just two days.

The team will be slogging up the peaks to raise money for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. This charity was voted for by staff in memory of our dear colleague, James Levy. Those who knew James know that he spent too much of his short life at the Royal Brompton, and how much he benefitted from the excellent care he received there. At the Royal Brompton, James felt secure and valued, and developed fond relationships with many wonderful nurses and doctors. Lewis Silkin is now working to support Royal Brompton’s future work so that it can continue to develop innovative treatments and to provide other patients and families with the level of care and support that meant so much to James.

Our intrepid team of 31 come from all over the firm and are: Richard Berry, Danny Bugler, Michelle Cooper, Rebecca Craker, Shalina Crossley, Olivia Eardley, Simon Entwistle, Jo Evans, Daria Evdokimova, Ollie Fairhurst, Susie Fyvie, Len Goodrich, Nicholas Hadaway, Eliza Halling, Tom Heys, Alan Hunt, Susie Jarrold, Ian Jeffery, Paul Johnson, Sarah Lampard, Emma Langhorn, David Lawrence, Ned Lewis, Henry McKay, Sarah McWhinney, Natalie Parkinson, Louise Sargeant, Tarun Tawakely, Sam Pennington, Poppy Wiseman, and Kathryn Weaver. Our offices in Oxford, Cardiff and Hong Kong will also be participating by doing their own walk in those locations.
