Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for my mum.
On 13th February 2010, Lilian Quigg's 32 year battle with MS ended peacefully, asleep at home, age 59.
In
life she endured many challenges, which saw her quality of life decline
gradually. However, she always had a smile and treasured even the
small pleasures we all take for granted- especially if it involved cake
and a cup of tea :-) Even if she was thinking the worst she never let
on, never complained and kept her dignity to the very end. I hope she
knows she leaves this Earth having taught everyone a precious lesson on
how joy in life is not taken from worldly travels, material objects or
even great health, but from the people who surround you and the simple
pleasures they bring. An inspiration to all who knew her and hopefully
to those who didn’t have the honour, but have heard her story.
In
her memory, I am kindly asking for donations to be made to the MS
Society Scotland using this page. This charity do invaluable work
supporting those in Scotland with MS, where we have the highest
concentration of MS sufferers in the world, and every penny is very
gratefully received. Please take the time to make a donation, even the
smallest amount, and pass on the details of Lilian’s Just Giving page
to everyone you know. Your help in raising awareness and you
contribution is invaluable.
Donating through JustGiving is
simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving
– they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate,
they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid
is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the
most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and
cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much
