Story

Hi everyone,

I´m updating this page from La Gomera as due to rather odd weather conditions the experts are predicting delays until the 24th December.  I´m probably going to come back and work for a few weeks and then hopefully return to join my crew for the record attempt!
You can following my personal progress and highs and lows via my website
http://web.me.com/lindasian or you can get further information from the crew´s website .. www.atlantic12.com

Thanks for your support.

My gorgeous nephews benefited from the services and care provided by the York Special Care baby Unit over 4years ago.  I now want to try and raise money to help them continue to offer this support to other families.

So, what shall I do? sponsored run, enter WI's victoria sponge bake off or maybe even a ...RAFFLE!

Not really what I had in mind so how about this...

3000 miles, 12 people, 30days 1 rowing boat and a new world record!  Yep, I'm going to row across the Atlantic and if i could raise £1 for every mile I row it will make the journey more worthwhile.

As an extra incentive, if you send me a photo of yourself I'll include you on my online sponsors wall of shame, oops fame! (coming soon).

If you want to see how I'm getting on, my website will be updated regularly with race reports and for all those who think 40 is past it and out of touch, I'll be sending my blog via satellite phone. (But there'll be absolutely no tweeting!!!).

A big thank you in advance.

Love Linda
