In December last year, Linda was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After a difficult 7 months - a roller-coaster of emotion, bravery and dignity, she passed away peacefully in July. In the final month of her illness, Linda was looked after brilliantly by the whole team at St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley.
St Catherine's is a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care - they made a very difficult time much easier to bear and Linda was very content and happy there. St Catherine's believe that each individual is more than their illness and we'll never be able to thank them enough for the care and attention they gave to Linda. Each year they need to raise over £4.8M in order to be able to offer this amazing service to others.
Walking with Columbus and Archie (see photo!!) was one of Linda's favourite things to do! So we thought what better way to help St Catherine's than doing what she loved best. Together as a family we are undertaking the Balcombe Walk on the 13th September - 13 miles through the Sussex countryside - in her memory, and want to raise as much money as possible for St Catherine's Hospice.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation.
All donations would be much appreciated and every little helps. Thank You.
