Story
I will be running - (OK not in the Paula Radcliffe sense of running but bearing in mind I am ancient and supremely unsporty is my approximation of running) - the Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September.
I am raising money for Wessex Heartbeat specifically to provide additional training for Sonographers - they are the ones that do the baby scans.
Tragically a friend of mine Nadia Moran, had a lovely little boy Rhys, who had a heart condition that was not picked up in the scans and when he was born he only graced the world for a few days. Additional training for the sonographers would enable to them to pick up conditions like Rhys had that would enable action to be taken in time.
This page is also in memory of Nadia who is now with Rhys.
If the money I raise can prevent anything like this happening again then all the blisters and rain soaked runs (where was the summer) will be worth it. If you are unable to donate anything then please just send me positive thoughts on the 27th September at 1pm to 3 or will it be 4pm??
