We provide a non-judgemental service to young people experiencing difficulties
Story
Linklaters takes on Yorkshire Three Peaks!!
26 miles, 3 mountains, 3,000 feet in under 12 hours! That’s the challenge for our Colchester office team who are raising money for charity.
Shiela Nicoll, Rob Flack, Sandra Rogers, Hazel Shaw, Paton Rogers, Chris Milwood, Rose Henslick, Claire Black, Wendy Gibson and a team from Colchester Youth Enquiry Services (YES) will be climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough on 24 July to raise money for the outfit of YES’s newly acquired centre in the heart of Colchester town centre.
YES work with young people in Colchester offering a crisis intervention counselling e.g. post suicide attempts, victims of abuse, rape etc. and counselling on issues that young people can face in today’s world e.g. bullying, self harming, depression, isolation, alcohol and drugs, homelessness etc. They provide a non judgemental environment which provides information, advocacy, counselling and support. YES link this vulnerable group with statutory bodies and help give them access to justice by being a voice for them or empowering and supporting them thru their process. Click here for further information on YES.
The team have been training hard to prepare themselves for the climb, so please make all the effort worthwhile by sponsoring your colleague/friend/family member using this site. Together we can help YES create a welcoming and safe environment for young people in Colchester.
Thank you!
We support young people between the ages of 11-25 in North Essex, providing a range of services including counselling, homelessness, housing, debts & benefits support, pregnancy & young parent support and CV's. We never turn a young person away; if we can't help you, we will find someone who can.
