Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of the invaluable service offered by Foyle Hospice.

Ask anyone in Derry - Foyle Hospice has touched us all in some way. For me it was my Mammy's brother - the baby of the family.

Michael was his name and modest was his way. A true family man that had his life cut short through illness. I must have been around 15 at the time when Michael was being cared for by the Hospice.

I'm 31 now and Michael was only a few years older than me when he passed - leaving three beautiful children. All of whom have grown up to resemble their father and their manner pays tribute to him.

So, this is where I need your support. I'm doing this bike ride you see in aid of the Hospice and their dedicated work. For the last wee while I've been up at 7.30am on a Sunday morning and out for a 26 miler in one go. I just don't get the chance to train during the week with having mini-me, work and life in general keeping me busy.

There have been a few blisters and some near crashes - but it'll all be worth it.
