We support the RBH special care baby unit to help babies and their families

Story

Many of you may know that 5 years ago my husband Allan and I spent Christmas on Buscot ward after our special daughter, Clara, was born 10 weeks early on 22nd November weighing 2lb 03. While it was a very difficult time of our lives we are, and always will be, extremely grateful to the wonderful staff on Buscot who tirelessly cared for, and in the initial moments, saved our tiny baby’s life. Clara spent the first 7.5 weeks of her life in Buscot and the staff were absolutely wonderful.

We are happy to say that now Clara is a completely healthy 5 year old and would like to give hope to the parents currently going through similar.

We would love to raise some money to give back to Buscot to help the future premature babies and aid the staff to care. Whatever we can raise will help in some way.

I hope to run 5km a day (starting on 19th Dec) which may not seem like a challenge but, believe me, it will be. The juggle of ‘mumming’, work and general motivation will be my biggest hurdles.  I would be grateful for your support, thank you.
