Story
Hi everyone,
I am doing the three peaks challenge on the 21st August. As you know I'm not usually very adventurous in this way...so am having to train pretty hard!! The challenge is to climb three of Britain's highest mountains in just 24 hours.
First up is Snowden in Wales (1085m), starting at 7pm we'll be under cover of darkness on the way down. After a long drive to the Lake District we will attempt the small (but apparently tricky) Scafell Pike (978m). And last but not least to Scotland for the big one - Ben Nevis (1344m) - finishing (we hope) before 7pm on Saturday evening.
So, 25 miles to walk, 10,000 feet to climb and 450 miles to drive all in aid of Link Community Development, a charity that aims to break the cycle of poverty by improving quality and access to education for children in Africa. So please dig deep for this worthwhile cause and sponsor me!
Thank you!
P.S. This is an independently organised event and I'm paying for all costs out of my own pocket, so all the money I raise will go straight to Link.
