Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are fundraising to enhance facilities for women during troublesome times in pregnancy and miscarriage on ward B5 at Russell's Hall Hospital. 

This is a cause very close to our heart's as at 4:30pm on the 25th September 2020 our little boy was born at 20weeks on this ward. It's hard to know what to write as we still haven't got the words to share ....but as our loved ones know we have very painful and traumatic memories from that time.

We did however, also see a lot of beauty in the world during this time and were, and still are completely overwhelmed by the love and support people gave us. In the middle of a pandemic it could have been a very lonely time but people found ways to support us through prayers, messages, cards, gifts, food parcels for us, wheels on meals for our girls, babysitting, school runs, people who bought clothes when Rosie had a growth spurt and had nothing to wear.....And in turn we would like to support others going through what we did.

In memory of Jack we would like to try and support other parents at Russell's Hall Hospital on Ward B5 who sadly find themselves in the same situation as ours. 

The money raised will create a specific gynae assessment room on the ward. The area will be used by women during pregnancy and miscarriage and will be decorated with homely touches and frosted glass to make the room feel less clinical. The idea of the room is to create a less intense and invasive experience for patients during what is an already very traumatic time. Fundraising will also be used to improve facilities such as funding a specific gynae bed for examinations making ladies feel more comfortable and examinations less intrusive during such stressful times. 

To raise money we will be taking part in the Weston Park 10k and a Walk of Light in October. We would love people to join us and take part in these events if you are able to. And would massively appreciate any sponsorship money.
